PARENTING NI

As part of Building Change Trust’s Techies In Residence programme we were paired with Parenting NI - who “aim to provide parents and carers with the support and resources they need to ensure the most positive upbringing for their children and young people” and to work with them to deliver a digital tool to help increase their reach and connect with people who weren’t ready to contact the centre directly. An important part of the brief was to destigmaise the act of asking for help as a parent, so we wanted to make something that looked fun as well as providing useful information. Parenting NI were successful in their bid for seed funding and we will continue our partnership with them to add onto and further develop the app.

The app will be available for download at the end of September, with other elements (including a game!) being added to it later in the year.
